Johnny Knieval talks about the Biggest Match of his Life Tomorrow Night!

As we roll into almost less than 24 hours until the "Dream Match Main Event", I sit back and look at my almost 6 year career.

You know it hasn't always been roses and rainbows and awesome. It's been a very bumpy path that very few people really know about. I started at a VERY young age, an age that a lot of people disapprove of in the business. So you know walking into locker rooms at that age you always got funny looks or even a hard time from some of the older guys. It was very intimidating. Even stepping into the ring was very brutal at times. But from that I learned so much, I sat back and listened and was educated by a lot of the veterans of this sport physically and emotionally.

I didn't come from a wrestling school. I was more of a go out to the ring, mess up and learn from my mistakes kind of guy. Which was frowned upon by many.. But looking back, I wouldn't have had it any other way. Through the years my popularity came simply from being a hard worker. People knew when I stepped through those ropes it might not be the prettiest or the most technical but they knew it was 110% from the heart. With the more following I had the harder I wanted to work. Then the respect in the back started to come, which leads to now.

I'm 20 years old now and I'm competing for the NWA Junior Heavyweight Championship of the WORLD.... like really? When I stop and think I mean, 6 years ago would I imagine myself here? Hell no... a lot of people still don't see myself here. With the respect I've earned in the back there are still just as many people who don't respect me. I don't have the most Dean Malenko-like moveset. I'm not your average boots and tights kinda of guy... Hell I don't even wear "Gear", and with that comes a lot of hostility. But you know being the most popular wrestler in East Tennessee comes with a reason, and that reason is simply busting my hind end off every single night I step in the ring. Having a never say die attitude and I never give up on chasing something I believe I can become. And I do believe that I can be a future NWA World Junior Heavyweight Champion.. whether it's Tomorrow Night in Rogersville TN or later down the road... I do believe that I have the heart and drive.

Chase Owens is no doubt in a league of his own and has earned everything he has gotten. I don't doubt that or his abilities in the ring at all. I mean he's your "Apple Pie" kind of guy I guess you could say. He's everything a fan or promoter would want in a wrestler. Stepping into the ring with him will be no walk in the park by no means, but stepping in the ring with me for Chase will be no walk in the park either. He might have his advantages in about every way possible. But there's things that have got me here where I'm at today that drives me like no other called Passion, heart, and drive. Tomorrow night will be a match for the history books no doubt, and win or lose, I see it being a win win night for me because If I lose, I've proved to everyone who doubted me I made it somewhere they never thought I'd make it and I could hang with one of the best in the world today, and If I win..... well.... I'll be your NWA World Junior Heavyweight Champion.

God Bless and Merry Christmas to all,
-Johnny Knieval
