Kincaid and Knieval on the Injured list
Yesterday was not kind to our champions. Both NWA Smoky Mountain Champion, Jason Kincaid and 1/2 of the NWA Tennessee Champions and NWA Southern TV Champion, Johnny Knieval both suffered injuries.
Kincaid was hospitalized last night in New Jersey after re-aggravating the neck injury he suffered on Oct. 13 in Kingsport at the hands of Alyx Winters. The injury cost Jason Kincaid the most important match of his life, as it lead to his defeat in the elimination match for the NWA Worlds Heavyweight Title.
Kincaid updated his fans on his status earlier today on his Facebook Page with this message -
"Thanks everyone for your thoughts and concerns, last night I did suffer a bad fall, aggravating a neck injury sustained last month and costing me the NWA World Heavyweight Championship. After a few miserable hours in the hospital, I got the good news that it wasn't severe. The doctors have urged me not to wrestle for several weeks... With that being said...I'll see you TONIGHT in Corbin, KY for Pro Wrestling Freedom!!!!"
Jason seemingly dodge a bullet and his injuries won't keep him out the ring... However, Johnny Knieval was not so lucky..
Knieval was involved with a car accident yesterday morning. Knieval suffered injuries to both his left arm and his jaw. Johnny was taken to Holston Valley Hospital, but was released later in the afternoon. Knieval has been told to stay out of the ring for 4 to 6 weeks to avoid surgery. We will have more details on his condition later in the week.
